Colonic irrigation... any proof it works?
:  I have been reading about colonic irrigation.  Can you provide me with any information as to how it may have worked when other things did not?
ANSWER:  The first thing you need to know is that regardless of the treatment, as with any treatment for an affliction or an illness, there are always going to be successes and failures.  Colonic irrigation is no different.  Quite often however, this type of treatment is usually thought of after most everything else.  Cases have shown over the years that it may have been more prudent to consider it first.  Below is the actual transcription of a taped testimony from a colonic irrigation patient who experienced much success.  “In 1994... I had my gall bladder removed. In 1998-99... I had lots of stomach problems-throwing up and pain after eating.  The symptoms were similar to my gallbladder problems. In 2000-01... I was always bloated and looked like I was 9 months pregnant. In 2001... I had surgery on my intestines.  I would vomit food 3 days after eating and the food would not be digested.  I still had the same symptoms. In 2002... I was hospitalized 10 times and was given morphine for pain and medication for nausea.  I could only eat a piece of toast when I would sit down to eat.  I felt horrible each time.I am 5'1"  tall.  I weighed  180lbs.   I took 17 pills a day and none of them were vitamins.  I took Paxil for depression, Zelnorm for Irritable Bowel Disease.  I had diarrhea for 3 consecutive years.  I took high blood pressure medicine,  acid reflux medicine, and a water pill for edema which depleted my potassium. I was ultimately hospitalized for lowpotassium because of the water pill. In 2003... I was told about colonic irrigation.  I started the program of 12 visits.  I did not feel much better for the first 6 treatments, then things began to change. Within 2-3 months my doctor reduced my medications from 17 pills a day to 6.  I began taking vitamin supplements.  I now take more supplements then prescriptions.  With these changes and colonics, I lost 38 lbs and I now feel great.  I started getting sick around 1992-93.  I’m not sure how it feels when you’re dying, but I figured I came pretty close.  Having tried about everything, I thought colonics was just another treatment that would be costly and not work.  I feel colonics saved my life.  Now I can enjoy my grandkids.  Before, I could not do that.”
