A non-turkey Thanksgiving?
: What are some alternatives to the Thanksgiving feast that do not include the traditional turkey?
ANSWER: Thanks-giving without Turkey? It's hard to imagine, but if you're considering forgoing the traditional turkey, you might want to choose a smaller bird, such as chicken or maybe a Rock Cornish game hen. Both cook faster and are easier to carve than a turkey. There are a range of chickens, from 5 lb. roasters to petite 2 1/2 lb. broilers. Or, if you're considering forgoing poultry altogether, try stuffed pork or lamb chops. Chops should be at least an inch thick to allow for stuffing. (The following stuffing recipes will work well with any of the above mentioned main courses):
