In addition to Chris' strong background in trade show production and project management, she was the Promotions Director for five shopping centers located in Colorado Springs and Denver Colorado giving her valuable insight into retail promotional needs of a myriad of businesses. When she is not working on the Women’s Fair, she produces marketing materials and writes newsletters for several local businesses. Question: What Can We Expect At the Women’s Fair 2002?
Answers: Chris Brown... With more than 250 exhibitors, 60 stage shows and seminars and dozens of hands-on demonstrations, Women's Fair 2002 has it all: health and fitness tips, gourmet cuisine, makeovers, information about college and investments, breast cancer screenings, home-decorating ideas, craft projects, plants, a home-buying clinic, yoga, high tea -- and shopping galore in the Fair's unique Marketplace. Deanna Wheeler... New this year will be free antique appraisals each day of the show. In addition to seminars on a variety of topics, nearly 100 local and out of town merchants will set up shop to showcase and offer for sale jewelry, cosmetics, clothes, shoes and leather accessories, floral arrangements, home decor, gourmet food, and one-of-a-kind gift items. Chris Brown... The keynote health speaker for the 2002 Fair will be Harvey Diamond, co-author of the New York Times No. 1 best-seller, Fit for Life. A two-hour Fit for Life seminar, free with admission to the Fair, will begin at 1 p.m. Deanna Wheeler... On Saturday, Diamond, whose book has sold more than 11 million copies worldwide, and has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV programs including "Oprah!," "Nightline" and "Good Morning, America" will be featured. The Fair's Health and Wellness Pavilion will include a lineup of exhibits featuring traditional and alternative health and fitness solutions as well as offering health screenings and tests. Chris Brown... Country singer/songwriter Mark McGuinn will headline the entertainment with performances sponsored by KZSN-FM on Friday evening. Back this year by popular demand are favorites such as the cooking stage, beauty makeovers, wine tasting, music and entertainment, craft demonstrations and fashion shows. Mini-workshops will address such topics as retirement planning, investments, debt management, saving for college, computers, home-buying, careers and power-of-attorney issues. Deanna and I produce the show, which she co-founded four years ago. Deanna Wheeler... Hours are noon to 8 p.m. Friday, March 22; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 23 and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 24. Admission is $5 for adults, $4.50 for seniors and $3.50 for children 6-12.
