How many worlds have there been?
Question: How many worlds have there been? Was the fall of the angels, which apparently preceded our world, a world unto itself? Have there been any others? Will there be any more?"
Answer: This question grows from two pieces of information we have.(1) There is much evidence of cataclysmic events on the earth: Meteorite impacts, shifts in the rotation axis probably due to the close approach of a comet, etc. (2) Several short mentions in the Bible of a testing and fall of angels: Ezek.28:12-17, Isaiah 14:9-15 for example. The once-popular Scofield Reference Bible suggests, in a footnote to Genesis 1:2, that these two things may be connected. No one can say with certainty whether this is true, and we certainly cannot say if there have been "other worlds", or if there will be others. Science-fiction writers feel free to propose "parallel universes", but we must be careful to regard all answers to your questions as guesses until new information is available, and maybe only God can supply it.
