After pre-approval...what’s next?
: After the pre-approval process, what’s next?
ANSWER: The process of buying a home is the biggest financial decision for most families. The largest investment, one of the biggest commitments, and a reflection on you as a person and a family. As a person progresses in his adult life few things provide more pride and satisfaction than a happy home. It is a sign to the outside world that all is well with this person and the family that lives in the home. To get to your happy home a person needs a team of professionals to help along the way.In many cases this process starts with a lender and the determination of what is a reasonable payment for the family and the financial requirements for the purchase of a desired home. We have previously discussed the loan process, and how helpful it is to do this upfront to ease part of the stress of purchasing a home. The lender can also help bring together additional resources such as Realtor, appraiser, inspector and title company to complete the process. Once a pre-approval is ready, the next step is to get together with a Realtor. This professional is able to gather information on prices, schools, neighborhoods, and many more important items for a potential buyer. In most cases lenders and Realtors have a working relationship which helps the experience be an exciting and enjoyable one. The lender and Realtor will also have valuable information concerning market trends, future development, tax issues and neighborhood history. Typically your agent will ask a set of questions to determine your housing needs and requirements, and work with the lender to make sure the financing is available for the desired purchase. Lenders and real estate agents can also help with arranging for appraisers, inspectors and title companies to add a layer of comfort to the transaction. The real estate purchase process involves lots of people playing lots of roles. These are all tied together and usually the team of professionals tries very hard to make life as easy as possible for the home buyer.Next time you're thinking of moving call your lender as your starting point to put together your “Real Estate Team” for a smooth and enjoyable move.
