What are the different beliefs between Christianity, Judaism and Islam?
I will attempt to answer this question by sharing what each of these three believe and then give my opinion of the “correct” BELIEF SYSTEM.
I will attempt to answer this question by sharing what each of these three believe and then give my opinion of the “correct” BELIEF SYSTEM. Judaism is a monotheistic religion which believes the world was created by a single, all-knowing divinity (GOD), and that all things within that world were designed to have meaning and purpose as a part of a divine order. According to their teaching, God’s will for human behavior was revealed to Moses and the Israelites at Mount Sinai. There are three branches of Judaism, The Orthodox who observe most of the traditional dietary and ceremonial law. Conservatives hold the importance of a Jewish political state, but more emphasis on the historic and religious aspects of Judaism. Reforms are the “liberal” wing of Judaism, culture and race oriented with little agreement on doctrinal or religious belief. They all wait for the coming Messiah. Islam is the religion of Allegiance to the Prophet Mohammed, who lived around 570-632 and came from a family of Tradeds from Mecca, they study the Koran. The Koran contains 114 chapters written in vivid, rhyming pose and was settled in its current form within 30 years of Mohammad’s death. There are five pillars, their profession of faith in Allah, the centrality of Mohammed as his prophet, formal worship of prayer, the giving of alms to the poor, and a, at least once in a lifetime, pilgrimage to Mecca. About 90% of the world’s Muslims are Sunni and about 10% Shia. They believe Jesus was a good teacher and prophet. Christianity is the belief that Jehovah God created and sustains the world, created man in His image, sent His one of a kind son into the world to save the world from sin, gave us His God- breathed word sufficient for our rule & practice. Jesus was born of a virgin (Luke 1:35), lived a holy life (2 Corinthians 5:21), died on a cross for our sin, (Mark 15:33-37) was buried, (Mark 15:46) rose again (Mark 16:1-7) ascended (Acts 1:1-11) to the father, is seated at the right hand of God (Colossians 3:1) and will come to take us to live with Him forever (Revelations 19:11-21) Christianity believes that Jesus is God in the Flesh (John 1:14). Which is worth believing? Judaism says the Messiah is still to come. Islam’s Messiah is dead and buried. Jesus died, rose again, and is waiting for the trumpet to sound. I bet my life on Christ crucified and risen again.
