Sleep patch vs. appetite control patch
Question: You have told about how you lost weight using a new appetite control patch. Last month, when you explained how the patch works, you mentioned other types of similar patches. One was for improved sleep. Tell me more about it.
Answer: I will, but first a bit about the problem of not sleeping well. Until I started doing research for this column, I did not realize how large the business of helping people sleep better has become. I was surprised to learn that it is an industry doing tens of billions of dollars annually. I was also surprised to learn that insufficient sleep affects up to 70 million people in the United States with an annual cost of about $100 billion each year in accidents, medical bills and lost work. Medical science tells us to get 8 hours of sleep per night, which means that about 1/3 of our lives should be spent in bed sleeping. Our health, energy, appearance and work performance are all dependant on our getting a good night’s sleep. However, many people have sleep problems and are unable to get that 8 hours of sound sleep every night. Many get much less, if they can sleep at all. Think of what people do to improve their sleep. For some it means getting a new mattress with the latest technology for better sleep. Still, that may not solve the problem. For added help, the pharmacies are full of over-the-counter medications claiming to promote a good night’s sleep. There are also prescription drugs for the same purpose. However all medications do not work for all people, and side effects are common. Some medications are even addictive. Personally, I like to do things the natural way whenever I can. Therefore I avoid taking drugs whenever possible, and finding an effective drug-free alternative excites me. I believe there are a lot of people in this world who think like I do. I also believe that is the reason the manufacturer decided to develop an all-natural drug-free patch to enhance sleep. The sleep patch was the first product the manufacturer developed after the successful launch of their initial patch which enhanced the body’s energy reserves and physical endurance. All the company’s patch products are based on the same basic science, but they are “tuned” to produce different results. The patches are all non-transdermal, meaning nothing enters the skin, and they are powered by the body’s own energy field. The sleep patch utilizes new technology to gently stimulate acupressure points - literally improving the flow of energy in the body for improved sleep, and it starts working the very first night. Double-blind placebo controlled studies of the sleep patch have discovered that the patch can increase the percentage of Delta waves a body produces during sleep by as much as 50%. The higher the percentage of Delta waves that you produce during sleep, the better the quality of your sleep, and the more rested you will be in the morning. The following is a letter I received recently from a Wichita woman regarding her experience using the sleep patch: Dear Ed, For as long as I can remember, I have had trouble sleeping. I would not sleep soundly, and I would often lie awake for hours with my mind racing, knowing that I had to get some sleep, or once again, I would be exhausted the next day. I tried everything imaginable from over-the-counter medications to homeopathic remedies. Nothing worked, and my health was being affected. I decided to try the sleep patches about 3 months ago, and I slept like a baby. Now I will not go to bed without first putting on a patch. If I do wake up during the night, I immediately fall back into a sound sleep, and I always feel rested in the morning. Thanks for introducing me to the sleep patches. They have changed my life. - Jill, Wichita, KS These are always nice to receive.
