What is bathroom furniture?
: What on earth is Bathroom Furniture?
ANSWER:  Bathroom sinks are often set in pieces of furniture bought especially for the purpose. Customers search for a furniture piece to serve as the unusual vanity. It might be an old dresser found at a garage sale and refinished or an expensive reproduction; people want their bathroom to be unique. The concept of having the sink sunk into a hole cut in a French bombe chest or a rustic Mexican oak dresser is a far cry from the bathroom run-of-the-mill oak cabinets that could be interchangeable with kitchen cabinetry.   The old-fashioned claw foot tub is still loved by many and in demand by those restoring an older home. You don't have to search junk shops and flea markets to have one of these tubs. But, "new/made to look old" style tubs can be costly.   Ceilings are likely to be high with recessed lighting or skylights. Floor to ceiling cupboards hold towels, clothes and jewelry. Ceramic tile, both in flooring and countertops are making a comeback. If you're not happy with the existing color of your tub and sink, it can be easily resurfaced to match the colors of your new design.     There's no question that good bathrooms help sell a home. If you're considering remodeling just to sell it and turn a profit, real estate agents advise you not to do so.  You're investing in your own taste that may not be the same as a buyer's, but don't be afraid to have some fun decorating, even if you are looking at resell value. When the time comes to sell, have faith you'll find a buyer who loves pebble-look floor, blue jetted tub with grab bars, or the walls, faux-painted to look like marble. Enjoy your remodel, and when guests visit your bathrooms, they'll have something to talk about.
