Choosing the right furniture
: They say the color of your car is a reflection of your personality, does the same hold true with the colors in your home?  If so do you have an idea of what they mean?
ANSWER:  I'm no expert on human personality, but I can tell you how color generally affects our mood, which relates to your question.PINK soothes and is easy on the eyes.RED stimulates and adds drama.  I notice most artistic people love red.ORANGE also stimulates and cheers.  However, I have a friend who says the color orange makes her feel angry.BLUE calms and relaxes.GREEN is refreshing and seems to balance most other colors.PURPLE comforts and promotes well being.YELLOW is energizing and adds warmth.BLACK conveys authority and strength.WHITE unifies and leaves a feeling of crisp clean space.   I think most of us have favorite colors and they do influence our emotions. Active colors like yellow, orange and red are usually preferred by extroverts, while the more passive personality usually enjoys cool colors like blue, green and purple.   Neutral colors or "uncolors" are brown, beige, gray, white and taupe.  Darker neutrals can tone down other colors; while white intensifies them.   When choosing color for your home, start with your favorite color, then look on either side of the color wheel.  Use one or both of these colors in your room.  Another good choice would be the color straight across from your favorite, as this is considered the complimentary color.   The colors that make you feel happy are the right colors for you.  Focus on what you love, then love the atmosphere you have created.  Color your world happy.
