Gifts anyone will enjoy
: It seems that every year I show up for Christmas and there is always one relative I forgot to buy for.  Can you give me some ideas for a gift that will work for anyone?
ANSWER:  To answer your question, the best way to be prepared is to think "universal". The next time you visit your favorite gift shop, keep your eyes open for a gift that will work for anyone from your niece to your great-uncle Larry. Traditional gifts such as Crystal or Fenton work well for any gender and any age. You can find a lead crystal piece as inexpensive as $10. This can be an inexpensive purchase that may also save you some embarrassment. Also don't forget to grab a couple of gift bags to keep tucked away, along with some ribbon and a card. Gift bags can be a great last minute "wrap on your way" touch. They also save you from worrying about scissors and tape. Again, think "universal" to meet any emergency gift need that may come along.    As the holidays grow nearer, don't be afraid to call your relatives to ask, "Who will be coming?" Try to think about any weddings or new arrivals that you may have overlooked over the past year as these will add to your gift giving list.     The holidays are to be shared with family and friends so try not to stress and just enjoy!
