What do I need to change?
ANSWER:  If you've got a student heading to college, you have much to think about -tuition, moving day, the dorm and more. Often, parents overlook one key aspect of their child's departure, that of insurance.Pay close attention to the personal possessions they take to the dorm. Your homeowner's policy may protect their laptop computer against theft while they are living in the dorm, but not against various types of physical damage. Also they or you might need to endorse your policy to cover other types of valuables (such as jewelry) that they take to school.  When students live in an off-campus apartment, you will want discuss with your agent, the need for renter's insurance for their personal property and liability coverage's.If your student takes a car to school, he or she can stay on your automobile policy, but you might want to make some changes. For example, you may want to add endorsements that provide auto rental reimbursement or emergency road service. This protection can be quite useful. Before your student goes off to school, please make sure you and your student's insurance needs are well protected, and you'll have one less worry.
