Valentine’s popularity...
ANSWER: Every February across the country, flowers, candy and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. Originally an ancient Catholic Church feast day in honor of Saint Valentine, it probably became associated with romantic love sometime in the middle Ages. Today, Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14th, and has become a day on which lovers let each other know about their love.In the United States, the practice of exchanging cards to express one's feelings has been extended to include giving gifts. Gifts typically include roses and chocolate, but to address your question on expressing love to your better half, I offer this:  It's not always easy to buy a Valentine's Day gift. The art of being romantic is about touching someone's heart. Making them feel special. Feel loved. If you've accomplished that, then you've accomplished the art of romance. So how do you accomplish that? First of all, pay attention. What does your better half like? If your significant other hates to get dressed up and go to fancy dinners and would rather go to a favorite BBQ joint, now you're thinking with a personal touch. It's about placing them, before yourself. In today's world, in order to find time for a little romance, we have to work at it.Most of us have a job, family, and other responsibilities that take up too much time in our lives and by the end of the day, we are so tired that we don't make the effort to do something different and fun with our significant other. In order for a relationship to work and last, we need to communicate, trust, support and do fun things with our loved one.
