Do a list? We did. Thank you.
Answer: Last month we received a question by a business person to put together a list of other businesses' Top Vendors for 2005, who excelled in the areas of service and professionalism. This person's thought was businesses are always looking for other choices, and if they had a list of best vendors from other businesses, it would be a great head start to get better acquainted with some of these choices. Here is the question we received:Question: The other day our staff was discussing our vendors - how some of them are just 'so-so' in the areas of service and professionalism, and how others 'shine' much brighter. Of all the lists  put out by the business publication in Wichita, wouldn't it be great to get a list of everyone's top vendors for 2005? While I am sure these other lists are great and used for a variety of purposes, no list would be used more by us, and probably by most businesses, than a ‘best vendor’ list of all types of businesses. We are always searching for companies that not only want our business, but who are also considered 'tops' in the areas of service and professionalism, by the companies they serve. While price is the deciding factor much of the time, it's not the only factor. Since the other publication puts out the types of lists they do, why doesn't The Q & A Times put out a 'best vendors' list?We answered that we thought it was a great idea, and agreed to do so, with only two rules:        1) The businesses who nominated the businesses as their best vendors, would remain anonymous; and                2) The only criteria for nomination would be that they excelled in the areas of service and professionalism.Of course we had no idea we would get the response that we did. We have been most pleased. We were still receiving more nominations as we went to press. We will not be able to print them all in this issue, so we will continue to print them in future issues until we recognize all of those we received. The first segment of these vendors are on Page 5.Depending upon the continued response, we we may keep it going. If you have a vendor you believe has excelled in the areas of service and professionalism, and you would like to give that vendor a big 'attaboy,' use the form below. Please complete one for each vendor. Then mail it to the address listed, or fax it to (316) 721-2671.
