Caution...slippery tile!
Answer: I would say, the first question would be why it is too slippery? The most likely cause of the tile being too slippery is that it may not be intended to be used for a floor tile. Most floor tiles (marbles and granites excluded) are designed with some type of texture for this very reason but many times people put wall tile on the floor. It could also be that you are cleaning or washing your tile too frequently. I would recommend using a tile cleaning detergent from the grocery store in the area of cleaners, sealers or coatings and scrubbing the floor with a brush with an extended handle. Then use a wet and dry vacuum to pick up all the dirty water. If the ceramic tile is still slippery when clean, there are products that you can use to treat the ceramic tile to make it less slippery. Beware however...these products are actually etching the surface of the tile and it will somewhat give it a different look and more texture. The more texture, the easier it gets dirty, the more frequent you have to clean it and the more difficult it is to clean. So, be sure it really is too slippery before you go messing around with the texture. Good Luck!
