How will I ever get rid of the fat around my middle?
Answer:  You are probably right.  To reduce the fat covering your abdominals there are three things that you need to concentrate on:1.  Cardiovascular/aerobic exercise - This will help burn off the unwanted fat covering your abs.  What is  cardiovascular/aerobic exercise?  These are activities that elevate your heart rate for at least 20 to 60 minutes continuously.  Such activities include walking at a brisk pace, jogging, cycling and swimming.  To improve ones cardiovascular/aerobic fitness and to burn body fat... remember the ‘F.I.T.’ formula. F = Frequency... you should exercise a minimum of 3 times a week but if you want faster results you might want to exercise 4 to 6 times a week. I - Intensity... when doing cardiovascular/aerobic exercise you must raise and maintain your pulse at your (THR) target heart rate.  Your THR is based on your age and you should talk to an exercise specialist to determine what that THR zone should be for you.  It will be very important for you because this is when your body burns off fat. T = Time... the duration of the cardiovascular/aerobic exercise should be continuous, lasting 20 to 60 minutes.2.  Diet - Sometimes exercise alone will not help burn off the unwanted fat covering your abs because you may be taking in too many calories per day.  A good idea would be to discuss your diet with a dietician to see what your daily caloric intake should be.3.  Strength and resistance training for your abs - Remember you cannot spot reduce when it comes to body fat so if you do 200 ab crunches a day, it will not burn the body fat covering your abs.  Your abs will however look more toned and firm when you shed the extra body fat covering your abs.  Good luck!
