Time for some summer hair fun
Answer: No matter what color your natural hair color is, summer is the time when you can add beautiful highlights for a brighter look. Putting in strategically placed strands of color may enhance the beauty and vibrance of hair that has faced the elements of a harsh winter. Maybe a blonde so bright yet natural that the women around cannot contain their envy. Low-light or highlights will achieve the same satisfying results to perk up your hair and make the light reflect off it in such a way that you can’t help but just love it! Typically when it starts to get a little bit warmer - 50, 60 degrees you are ready for summer and that might mean getting your chocolate-brown hair highlighted in shades of golden brown and blonde. It is just a feeling you get when the weather turns warmer, some sort of change that will make you feel like summer and the beach. That’s the appealing thing about hair color - it can be easily changed to a warmer shade at the end of the summer if you desire. Men are requesting longer styles, unlike the shorter hair of last summer or winter. And they want lighter hair in the summer, just like women. No matter what the trends are women and men both love to go lighter in the summer months, and now is the perfect time to make the subtle changes that will brighten the hair, but still look completely natural. If your hair is extremely frizzy, then you might want to think about adding a darker highlight. Ultra-light highlights are not as appealing. A darker shade is better for your hair type. It makes your hair smoother and thicker. Also if you are planning to highlight or color your hair, remember to use ultra-mild shampoos, such as the shampoos and conditioners that are specifically designed for color-treated hair; they will help hold your color in longer. Another tip is to not wash your hair everyday. Wash it every other day; this will help keep your color the same. Plus the natural oil in your hair will keep your hair healthier. If you want to go blonde, talk to your stylist, before you go for it. If your hair has not been tinted or previously dyed then the process should be painless. Never attempt this procedure on your own. Go to a stylist; they will know what to do and how to handle your virgin hair. If red is the color for you, then most likely it will be an easier process; hair tends to hold on to red-toned pigments well so going red can be easy for most people. However if you’re a blonde be aware that you will have to go two to three shades darker to achieve a rich red and it’s not easy to reverse it. If going brunette is your goal, then here is some wisdom for you. Brown is a safe choice and usually suits most women. Using different highlights can achieve many fun and flirty looks. Combinations of chocolate brown and bronze shades, to honey or dark blonde can give your hair an incredible shine. If you want to achieve a sophisticated artsy Goth look, then maybe black hair could be your choice. Going to black hair is usually the easiest to achieve because the molecules in the black tints are quite large and will cover your hair entirely. However black only looks good with people who have olive or darker skin tones. You will never achieve the same look with home products. First of all, you are reaching up, whereas a hair stylist is above you. The stylist is able to reach parts of your hair and to control the amounts of hair they will be picking up. Secondly, home products have much higher ammonia content than what your professional stylist will use. With a stylist you are assured that with the amazing technology used today and the capabilities to analyze the hair, you will be able to get the exact results you want to achieve with a perfectly natural look.
