What is a “Mini Stroke”?
Recent information again emphasizes the importance of "Mini Strokes", or TIAs.

This type of stroke occurs when one experiences any kind of neurological deficit that persists for less than 24 hours. Many of these events occur only for a few minutes and then tend to go away. Symptoms such as facial numbness, slurred speech, paralysis on one side of the body, blurry vision or sudden headache may occur. Often times this type of stroke will go away as quickly and mysteriously as it appeared.
