Selecting the right swimsuit
Answer: I could sum this up with one word FIT. Fitting a swimsuit is more of a ‘science’ then you might think. With swimwear season almost here, you might want to save the time and headaches by having a professional fitter measure you and suggest the best styles and colors of swim wear for your body type. Remember all bodies do not fit in the same style of suit. Remember when purchasing a swim suit both bra support and tummy control are very important features to look for. And when shopping for swimwear you do not have to give up style and fashion to have both control and support. Many designers offer style and fashion without sacrificing support and control. For those who need extra length, the tankini is a perfect swimsuit. Prices vary but most start at about $60.00 and go up from there. Remember to complete your whole look with coordinating Coolie hats that will also help block the sun from your face. Also, to accent your look even further choose a matching pareo. Special needs, such as alterations for Breast prosthesis, should be considered too. The suits can be ‘pocketed’ for you. A Swim Breast is designed to be used in saunas, hot tubs, Jacuzzis, or hot mineral baths, whereas the regular silicone Breast prosthesis is not recommended for these. Regardless of where you purchase your special swimsuit this summer, make sure you are comfortable with the fit and the person helping should be compassionate, competent and knowledgeable to you. You also want to remember, after buying your suit, take good care of it. It can provide years of pleasure and enjoyment if you will. One of the biggest ‘enemies’ is the chlorine in swimming pools. It cuts the elastic and causes your suit to wear out much more quickly. A thorough washing after each use will help a lot. Hopefully these tips and few considerations will help you enjoy your suit all the more.
