 | Nabil Seyam is director of the Board of Administration of the Islamic Society of Wichita and Co-Founder of the Annoor Islamic School. He was the recipient of the Leader of the Year in 2002 in Wichita and most recently was the recipient of the Community Servant Award by the University United Methodist Church in 2003. End of times... what will happen and when?
Answer: From and Islamic prospective the following has been quoted from the sayings of the prophet and the Holy QuranThere are minor and major signs of the Hour, however, these events actually take place prior to the hour. God states in the Holy Quran:"It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, and the mountains will be like carded wool. The earth will shaken with its final earthquake. The earth will throw out its burdens. Heaven will split asunder. The earth will stretch forth and will cast out all that was in it and become empty. Stars will fall and scatter. The seas will burst forth. Graves will turn upside down. The sun will wound round. Its light is lost and is overthrown, and the wild beats will gather together. The seas become as blazing fire.The minor signs:-The coming of the prophet Mohammed - Splitting the moon-The defeat of Rome-Shepherds will compete in the instruction of tall buildings -Knowledge of Islam will be taken away while ignorance will increase -The population of men will decrease and women increase till fifty women shall be for every man-Drinking and fornication will increase heavily -People will claim to be prophets-There will be such an abundance of wealth that people will not be able to find recipient of charity-Killing will increase-Time will be shortened so that the year like a month, a month like a day and a day like an hour-Earthquakes will increase in numbers-A person will pass by grave and wish to trade places out of despair The major signs which will happen within a very short time before the hour:-False Messaya will come claiming to be God -Al-Mahdi will come, he will call to the truth-Jesus will come back and appears in Damascus, Syria-An animal will talk to people -Gog and Magog will break free of the damn that holds them back, and ravage the earth-Three places in the world will sink and be swallowed up by the earth, one in the west, one in the east, and one in the Saudi Arabian Peninsula -Fire will come from the area Aden in Yemen-The sun will rise from the west-Smoke will appear all over the earthThe last hour will appear on the unbeliever, when no one person on earth will bear witness of the existence of God. At that time the Hour starts. Then God, through the Angels, blow the sound where every one dies. Resurrection will then occur after God orders the Angle to blow again. The people then face God for the Judgment Day.
