Long distance healing and the internet
Answer: Short answer: Yes, I can. Let me talk a little about what you have been reading about. I’ve been quite interested myself in the “distance healing” that you mention. Anyone who works with hypnosis, is aware that there are many mind-body connections of which we are minimally aware. Many of those connections were well-known previously, but as “Western Medicine” took over, they were discarded as old-fashioned, and not nearly so easy as “poppin a pill.’ Distance healing is also referred to often as “energy healing”. Churches have known about this for a long time. They just use different terms, like prayer. Now I don’t know about your personal spiritual practices, but I have found very few folks who don’t believe in some way that there is a power beyond our understanding. And that it can affect our lives. Personally, I am a Christian, and before every hypnosis session, I ask for help from that power that I call God. I believe that in every case of healing I do, there is other power working through me; That I am just the tool. Many of those who are involved in energy healing have the same belief systems that I do. They use a different vocabulary sometimes, but we all believe in that higher power which assists us in our work. Dr. Albert Einstein often rocked the thoughts of others when he uttered one of his many philosophical pronouncements, which seemed to be totally devoid of the math for which he was known. At one point he was said to have proclaimed that if one “followed physics far enough he would be in metaphysics”. He also proclaimed that everything is vibration. And my favorite, “imagination is more powerful than knowledge” Hang in there with me for a minute. There really is a reason for me quoting the great Dr. Energy healing has been labeled as metaphysical by many, because it doesn’t use something you can see. It doesn’t use solid objects, like pills to heal. Well, I guess I’d have to agree – it probably is metaphysics in Dr. Einstein’s terms. If we believe that he was right, that all is vibration, and energy healers work at changing sick vibrations to well ones it seems to make a lot of sense. Of course, if we progress beyond Einstein into what is now called Quantum physics, we find ourselves working with many of the laws and ideas that used to be in the realm of metaphysics. Quantum physics shows up right where Dr. Einstein said metaphysics would be. Hypnosis works in changing the brain wave frequencies i.e. vibrations, so that what we refer to as the subconscious, unconscious or super-conscious mind can affect both psychological and physical changes within our mind/body. Most of us believe we have a soul, which cannot be seen or measured by normal means. There are methods available now though which can measure a radiant energy in the live body, but which no longer exists when the body dies. Could be that energy is the soul that we believe in and talk about. Most of the hypnotists that I know and respect also believe in the soul and that often we work at a soul level, rather than a mind level. When we see the miracles happen in our offices, knowing that something way more powerful than we are is effecting the cures, we are almost forced to believe in “soul work” So, it comes as no surprise to us, when we are able to pick up a telephone and talk to someone miles and miles away, helping them into a deep hypnotic state and talking them through a cure for whatever is bothering them. We can do the same thing over the internet. Internet is more fun, because we can use a webcam there and see the person we are working with. There are many other distance types of healings that we can get involved in. Almost all religions recognize that sometimes there are “spirits” which are without bodies and sometimes attach themselves to living persons, causing them physical or psychological problems. Most of those same religions have ways of getting rid of the unwanted spirits. Jesus was known to cast out spirits and demons to allow persons to heal. Most religions have persons who are trained in these techniques. The Catholic Church for one, has their own trained personnel who do demon exorcisms, or depossessions. Interestingly, some of the early pioneers of hypnosis, worked in the same field and have passed their knowledge down to us who work in hypnosis today. With hypnosis, the term is “remote depossession” since it is accomplished by a hypnotist and another person who works, while hypnotized, as the intermediary. All they need to do is to have a name, and a time the person was at a specific address to be able to do their work. The intermediary on a soul level, asks the person to be scanned for attachments, if they have permission to do so.. Once permission is given, the hypnotist asks the intermediary to look for dark places on the person being scanned,. When they are found the hypnotist, through the intermediary talks to the spirit attachment and convinces it to “ go into the light”, a place that many of us happily call heaven. Persons who have had these remote depossessions, have reported the easing of physical and psychological symptoms at exactly the time the hypnotist and intermediary wee working with them. They also report that the attachments, as reported by the intermediary, were in exactly the places on their bodies that they had been experiencing discomfort.. Yes, hypnosis can be used at a distance. Sometimes, it seems a little far out, but as in everything, the proof is in the results.
