What is colonic therapy?
Answer: Colon Hydrotherapy is a safe, effective method of removing waste from the large intestine without the use of drugs. By introducing filtered and temperature-regulated water into the colon, the waste is softened and loosened, resulting in evacuation through natural peristalsis. This process is repeated a few times during a session. Colon Hydrotherapy is best used in combination with adequate nutrient and fluid intake as well as exercise. Today's sophisticated technology promotes both the safety and sanitation of this popular cleansing practice. Question: What is the relationship between the colon and the rest of the body? Answer: The average person is carrying several pounds of dried fecal matter impacted in the colon as a result of eating flour, meat, fat, dairy products, sugar, alcohol and preservatives. Average food transit time is 18 to 24 hours in a healthy colon. We have seen clients who have bowel movements every two to seven days! Even once a day may indicate constipation, depending on food consumption. In America, over two million people every year are diagnosed with colon disease. Remember the saying: "Death begins in the colon?” Colon cancer is second only to heart disease as the most frequent cause of death today, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is also on the rise. Question: What can a colonic really do for me? Answer: A colonic can do many things to make your over-all health maximized! It can, 1. Cleanse the colon: Toxic material is broken down so it can no longer harm your body or inhibit assimilation and elimination. Even debris built up over a long period of time is gently, but surely, removed in the process of a series of treatments. Once impacted material is removed, your colon will begin again to eliminate waste in a timely manner as it was intended. 2. Exercise the colon muscles: The buildup of toxic debris weakens the colon and impairs its functioning. The gentle filling and emptying of the colon during therapy improves peristaltic activity by which the colon naturally moves material. 3. Reshape the colon: The gentle action of the water, coupled with the massage techniques of the colon therapist, helps eliminate bulging pockets of waste and narrowed spastic constrictions, finally enabling the colon to resume its natural state. 4. Stimulate reflex points: Reflex points connect every system of the body to the colon. A colonic stimulates these points, thereby benefiting all body organs.
