He and His wife own and operate Sharp's Auto Body & Collision Inc. located at 202 North Elm St. in Pittsburg, Kansas. He is a father of 5 children, Ex Military E-6 Staff SGT. and is active in his home Church. The one thing he enjoys doing is educating the public about the safety and proper repair of automobiles, no matter if it is a vehicle that has been in a collision, a small dent, or a complete restoration. What is I-CAR certified?
Answer: One of the ways you can be certain that your car will receive quality repairs is by choosing professionals that have the I-CAR® Gold Class Professionals designation.
I-CAR is an international not-for-profit organization providing training in latest standards within the collision inter-industry and provide a way for consumers to identify those professionals that consistently demonstrate the highest level of skill in the industry. Since beginning in 1979, I-CAR activities, programs, services and resources have solely focused on supporting and encouraging the auto collision repair industry to achieve a high level of technical knowledge through access to training. Participation in the program and training is strictly voluntary, so when you see the Gold Professional designation displayed, or absent, it is an easy way to measure the skill and training of the technicians.
The I-CAR Gold Class Professionals™ designation is among the highest recognitions for training available to businesses in the collision repair inter-industry. Because the industry is always progressing and the need for professionals to stay current of those practices that will maintain the safety and integrity of the structure, ongoing training is designed to help the collision industry meet its changing needs.
This is something that requires continuing effort, training and participation on the part of those that have received the designation. Businesses who have earned the Gold Class not only achieve a high level of training for each employee, but also attend twice annual training to provide their customers with efficient, safe and high-quality services.
