Stuffing the dressing
ANSWER:  Dressing is an ideal breeding ground for harmful bacteria. But if you can't imagine the holiday without a stuffed turkey, follow these guidelines: -Never put the dressing inside the turkey until immediately before it goes into the oven. -Make sure the dressing is cool before spooning it lightly into the turkey's cavity. -Don't pack the dressing into the turkey. (Bake any extra dressing in a shallow baking dish covered with foil.) -Insert an instant-reading thermometer into the center of the dressing. It should reach at least 165 degrees for safety. -When done, immediately remove all the dressing from the turkey's cavities. -Promptly refrigerate any leftover meat and dressing separately.
