Having first opened their doors in 2003 as the Women's Resource Center of Southeast Kansas, Inc., in 2007 their doors were reopened and the name changed to Vie Medical Clinic. The mission then, as it is now, is to provide information, support and encouragement to anyone facing a sexual health issue.

Vie Medical Clinic provides an extensive line of services that includes: pregnancy testing, limited obstetrical ultrasounds, post-abortion support, information on all pregnancy options, sexually transmitted infection testing, sexual integrity education, peer counseling, parenting classes, men's mentoring, as well as medical and community referrals. Individuals can access these services free of charge, regardless of income, race, or religion.
Sexual health services are critical to the community. No one ever plans on an unexpected pregnancy or contracting a sexually transmitted infection and consequently, likely do not have extensive knowledge of the options or services available in the community. The staff at Vie Medical Clinic assures that each client that comes through their door is a top priority. Although the circumstances are different, the need for accurate information, support and encouragement remains the same. Individual needs are met with compassion.
